Korea is divided into South and North, which is the only divided country in the world. I wanted to create an interactive piece that allows viewers to make a connection with the unification of Korea.
The first interaction works with a fingerprint sensor. Instead of using fingerprints, I used texts with patterns to rotate the servo motor which is connected to the south part of Korea. The texts are saying "united" and "divided" in Korean which reacts accordingly to the elements. Once Korea is united, a girl avatar can walk around the peninsula with a touchpad, which prints out the "x" and "y" axis.
